Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care, training the next generation of innovators, leaders, and healthcare provider.
Established in 2017, the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services was established through a unique collaboration between Augusta University Health System and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice with the goal of delivering high-quality health services to the state of Georgia's justice-involved youth in 25 facilities.

Metro RYDC (Located in DeKalb County) 1300 Constitution Road, SE Atlanta, GA 30316-4604
Responsibilities
Duties 1 - 35
Patient triage to include taking vital signs, recording of patient interview/complaints and prepares the patient for exams/ procedures as needed.
Duties 2 - 20
Process lab requests to include venipuncture. Performs routine screening tests, EKG's, nebulizer treatments and changing dressings as ordered.
Duties 3 - 15
Preparation and administration of medications as prescribed. Notes times and amounts on patient records.
Duties 4 - 15
Entering clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintaining accurate and complete documentation in the patient record.
Duties 5 - 15
Assists with administrative clerical duties, answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma with two years of experience and one of the following:
AAMA - American Association of Medical Assistant
CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
MedCa - Medical Career Assessment
NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant
RMA - Registered Medical Assistant
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years previous experience in a clinical setting and correctional clinical experience. Experience with electronic medical record is preferred.
Bi-lingual a plus.
