Job description

We are seeking Laboratory Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Austin, TX.

Job Summary:
The Laboratory Associate performs routine laboratory testing procedures to generate accurate data for use in clinical trials research. This role supports compliant specimen analysis, documentation, quality practices, and clear communication across laboratory stakeholders. Schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday 7 am to 4 pm with occasional overtime available on Saturdays.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate the validity of analytical results against algorithms displayed by the laboratory computer system
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis, as required
  • Support post-analysis sample and reagent storage
  • Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Maintain good housekeeping of the laboratory environment and support safety, quality, and 6S initiatives
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Technology degree or demonstrated 60 semester hour credits at the college level with 24 of those 60 being Chemistry and Biology related required
  • 6 months relevant lab experience
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and terminology used in the area of responsibility - experience with liquid handling and protein biomarker analyzers is a plus
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Commitment to continuing education, safety, quality, and compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
