Primary Care Medical Director Opening in Little Rock, AR- Located in Little Rock, AR- Full Time; Permanent- EmployedQualifications:- The Primary Care Medical Director (PCMD) should be a physician with board certification in a primary care discipline and have > 10 years experience in clinical practice and significant experience in an organization leadership or managerial role- A master's degree in business or health administration, or public health is not required but would bring a management acumen to the role- Other background experience in medical informatics, quality improvement and patient safety, population health, or value-based care would also be highly beneficial. Responsibilities:- Primary oversight of clinical practice of the primary care practice. - Direct interaction and partnership with the Health System Population Health Service Organization providing oversight and implementation of value based care contracts and delivery of care. - There will be the option to be engaged in clinical practice 5-20% of the time, based on desire and interest. - Annual or semiannual visits to attend business meetings of each primary care practice to deliver information, address problems, and receive feedback with a focus on value based care and other initiatives. Direct engagement is key. - Oversee the development and maintenance of a quality improvement process for each primary care practice and all providers. Lead the effort to evaluate each clinic for opportunities and needs for growth to add providers. - Lead the effort to evaluate the potential need for development of new clinics in new locations. - Lead the effort to develop and open new primary care clinic sites. - Review and ensure compliant billing practices and documentation are maintained in all clinics by all providers. - Oversee and ensure proper duties of APPs and working relationships within the primary care clinics with a primary goal that they receive proper oversight from physicians and proceed to function primarily as independent providers. - Participate directly in the provider workforce planning and recruitment. - Participate directly in the planning and delivery of provider onboarding. - Work directly with Directors of Practice Operation who oversee Primary Care Clinics including Rural Health Clinics. - Assist in creating an organization designed to support and maintain delivery of the highest quality care. **Little Rock, AR:**- The Little Rock/North Little Rock metropolitan population is approximately 950,000 with a service draw area of over 1,000,000- Located in Central Arkansas with access to many outdoor activities as well as cultural experiences- Easy to understand why Arkansas is called the Natural State from the many rivers, lakes, parks, hiking trails and camping sites readily available and in close proximity- Little Rock boasts the Little Rock Zoo, Arkansas Arts Center, Arkansas Symphony, The Repertory Theater and The William J.
