Endurance IT Services is seeking a Clinical Operations Informatics Specialist to support workflow improvement, clinical data analysis, and validation efforts across Health Services. This is a clinical-facing role focused on enhancing clinical practice and the end-user experience within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
This individual will work closely with medical staff, the Health Services EHR team, and technical teams responsible for EHR configuration and development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating clinical workflows into data insights and supporting informed decision-making through accurate and validated clinical data.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Workflow Documentation
  • Document current clinical workflows and identify process gaps
  • Support staff-facing workflow improvements and standardization efforts
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of clinical workflows within the EHR
  • Provide prioritized recommendations for workflow optimization

Data Extraction, Analysis & Visualization
  • Extract and analyze clinical data from the EHR to support operational and clinical questions
  • Validate data against internal and external data sources
  • Develop reporting and visualizations to support leadership decision-making
  • Establish best practices for ongoing clinical data extraction and reporting

Validation & Testing
  • Perform validation of EHR updates from an end-user perspective
  • Support system testing, including MAR and related components
  • Identify and reduce validation gaps across system enhancements
  • Ensure reliability and accuracy of clinical data within the system

Clinical Staff Support
  • Serve as a clinical point of contact for EHR-related questions and requests
  • Provide responsive support to medical staff and stakeholders
  • Ensure proper documentation and handoff of processes for continuity

Required Qualifications
  • Experience working within an EHR system in a clinical capacity
  • Demonstrated experience extracting and analyzing EHR data
  • Experience structuring unclassified medical data and mapping to standard vocabularies
  • Strong understanding of medical vocabularies from both clinical and informatics perspectives
  • Experience validating EHR data using:
    • External data sources
    • Internal triangulation methods
  • Experience documenting clinical workflows and translating them into EHR processes
  • Experience applying national EHR standards to EHR platforms
  • Experience standardizing processes during or after EHR implementations
  • Strong ability to communicate clinical and data insights to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary clinical environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical background (nursing, medicine, pharmacy, or similar)
  • Experience working in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
  • Experience in complex, multidisciplinary clinical environments
