As a Construction Technician at Spectrum, you’ll play a vital role in building and maintaining our network infrastructure. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Understand and follow safety requirements and standards while supporting various construction projects
  • Move, secure, load and unload cable equipment, tools and materials
  • Dig and restore holes and trenches, bury conduit and cables to support network construction
  • Pull lasher, strand and cable between poles to build aerial network infrastructure
  • Perform traffic control and flagging to ensure safe worksites
  • Operate and maintain crew vehicles

Working Conditions

  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, day or night, including in poorly ventilated areas
  • Stand 50-70% of the time, carry and operate extension ladders, and climb poles as required
  • Travel weekly with overnight stays as business needs dictate
  • Work overtime, weekends or second shifts and participate in on-call rotation as needed
