Account Director
Core Responsibilities
  • Be the clientโ€™s marketing partner and demonstrate a complete understanding of their business and customers.
  • Build and maintain positive, lasting client relationships. Anticipate their needs to keep Modern Climate in the position of leading rather than following.
  • Guide clients throughout their work with Modern Climate to ensure they are aware of the value of the various steps and corresponding outcomes. Establish clear direction and assure that approved decisions/actions are documented, communicated and implemented.
  • Lead the RFP process when called upon, driving development of the proposal and final scope of work.
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing communications plans โ€“ supervising, coordinating and ensuring the on-strategy, on-budget and orderly workflow from initiation through execution.
  • Make sure all team members have the necessary information to effectively and efficiently develop great work. Make sure key success metrics are in place.
  • Oversee the preparation and facilitation of client meetings. Ensure the appropriate team members are involved and client expectations are managed.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients and relevant team members to manage workload, provide business updates and track progress.
  • Establish annual billing and revenue goals for each client, tracking progress on a quarterly basis.
  • Lead the development, and oversee the implementation, of an annual development plan for your clients.
  • Proactively initiate discussion, and address any anticipated variance from, annual revenue goals. Identify and seize opportunities to expand client relationships.
  • Author or lead the development of all creative briefs in conjunction with the Strategy Director and if applicable the Creative Director.
  • Assure compliance with all legal procedures, particularly advertising claims substantiation and handling of unsolicited ideas. Assure that proprietary information is handled with utmost confidentiality.
  • Be a role model for the company and encourage/demonstrate brand passion and โ€œbe better every dayโ€ mindset. Uphold and demonstrate our core values.
  • Mentor direct reports including Account Managers and Project Managers.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in account management/client services
  • Background in leading strategy development for brands within a variety of industries
  • Experience with technical projects is desired
  • Experience with managing direct reports
