The Research Technician is responsible for supporting the testing needed to develop and formulate new products. He or she also performs testing on new raw materials. The Research Technician may provide any necessary technical support to various other departments. In addition, he or she is responsible for any other task their primary supervising chemist or Research and Development Lab Manager deems necessary.
This is a first shift position (Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm) in an air conditioned state of the art laboratory. Occasional overtime may be required. This role will work with several highly skilled chemist and technicians to serve our internal and external customers.
Essential Functions:
  • Produce and test sample batches
  • Maintain records of product development
  • Prepare test data and samples for product submissions.
  • Test new supplies of raw materials
  • Maintain raw material records and submit SDS for samples.
  • Provide technical support for plant trials
  • Submit new gages to Quality Assurance for initiation of calibration records
  • Perform yearly testing and maintain records, as required
  • May be responsible for handling hazardous waste
  • Adhere to safe work practices with chemicals and process equipment
  • Maintain organization and clean work environment
  • Research Technician metric: TCIR rate

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Trained in techniques described in Research & Development Laboratory Personnel Training Records

Starting Wage:
  • $19.00 per hour base rate
