Award-winning, inclusive, Top Workplace culture doesn't happen overnight. It's a result of hard work by extraordinary people. More than 9,000 of the industry's brightest talent drive our efforts to deliver purposeful work and meaningful impact every day. Learn more about what makes us different and how you can thrive as a Client Support Associate with our Employee Health & Benefits team at MMA.

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals seeking limitless possibilities. With 170 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world's leading professional services firm, Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC).

A day in the life.

As our Client Support Associate on the Employee Health & Benefits team, your role involves coordinating information for client service requests and providing it to the client team for a prompt response. You prioritize gaining a thorough understanding of the different roles within our agency and the specific line of business we operate in.

In your position, you work under the guidance of the Client Manager, Strategic, and/or Consultant. You engage in communication with individuals both inside and outside the organization, always maintaining a customer service-oriented approach. Your role involves problem-solving, consultation, and providing advice and interpretation of policies and regulations. While you collaborate with outside vendors, you do not have the authority to make commitments on behalf of the organization. You handle confidential information and ensure its protection in all aspects of your job.

To excel in your role, you must demonstrate strong analytical skills, possess basic math knowledge, and have familiarity with accounting principles and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. You work in a clean office environment, primarily during regular day hours. However, you are flexible and may need to work extended hours to meet the needs of our users and customers. Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a key aspect of your job. You have your own transportation and can attend both in-house and external meetings/events as required.

Our future colleague.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Life & Health License or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Prior experience within insurance industry preferred

We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Don't be shy. If you're close, we'd be very interested in meeting you.

Valuable benefits.

We value and respect the impact our colleagues make every day both inside and outside our organization. We've built a culture that promotes colleague well-being through robust benefit programs and resources, encourages professional and personal development, and celebrates opportunities to pursue the projects and causes that give colleagues fulfillment outside of work.

Some benefits included in this role are:

  • Generous time off, including personal and volunteering
  • Hybrid schedule
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities
  • Charitable contribution match programs
  • Stock purchase opportunities

We embrace a culture that celebrates and promotes the many backgrounds, heritages and perspectives of our colleagues and clients. We are always seeking those with ethics, talent, and ambition who are interested in joining our client-focused teams.

Marsh McLennan is committed to embracing a diverse, inclusive and flexible work environment. We aim to attract and retain the best people and embrace diversity of age background, disability, ethnic origin, family duties, gender orientation or expression, marital status, nationality, parental status, personal or social status, political affiliation, race, religion and beliefs, sex/gender, sexual orientation or expression, skin color, veteran status (including protected veterans), or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
