Job description

MTSI is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator - COMSEC Specialist whose primary function will be to lead/support development, testing and integration of advanced communication systems. This position will be located in the Washington DC area.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Lead/monitor the design and implement a network architecture to support mission critical needs for the development of advanced systems.
  • Monitor and guide the development of requirements, conduct independent reviews and make recommendations.
  • This role will include COMSEC custodian responsibilities to lead and manage a large crypto shop and network.
  • Coordinate infrastructure requirements (logical addressing/routing/firewall modifications) for secure communications.
  • Evaluate the threats and vulnerabilities to information systems to ensure security controls effectively mitigate the risk of exploits.
  • Provide a comprehensive network design, setup and support of all server/client systems and applications for a Windows environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' of related technical experience.
  • Experience in satellite communications and/or aircraft communications subsystems development, integration and testing.
  • Experience as a team leader or manager of communication subsystems during development and/or production with responsibility for test, technical documentation and system evaluation.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.

The pay range for this position is $150,000/year to $200,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI offers a full range of medical benefits, 401k, ESOP, paid time off, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
