Position Description:
The Sponsor is seeking a Computer Hardware Engineer to manage all Sponsor mission application hosting-related hardware devices to include:
• Logistics management
• Device shipment, receipt, invoice validation, staging, preparation
• Datacenter installations (racking, cabling, powering) and moves by external service providers
• Vendor repairs, device configuration, proper operation validation, rack elevation documentation maintenance, datacenter floor mapping and documentation maintenance, datacenter floor space planning, datacenter power and cooling capacity management
• Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and monitoring, and firmware updates and patching according to all relevant and/or required policies, directives, and standards
Mandatory Skills:
1. Demonstrated on-the-job experience installing, configuring, managing, and upgrading datacenter hardware to include device cables and connectors, various hardware (Network, Storage, Compute) power devices and cooling configuration devices
