Job description

Overview
Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.
The Work
The Client Systems Technician provides specialized technical support for client-based information systems, including desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and associated software applications. This role supports end-users in a secure, mission-critical environment to ensure operational continuity and compliance with applicable government standards. The technician installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains client systems while adhering to cybersecurity policies and organizational procedures.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client systems technical support consistent with the Client Systems Technician labor category.
  • Support end-user systems and technical support activities aligned to the DCWF Technical Support Specialist work role.
  • Perform Token Agent duties.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain.
  • Configure security settings.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain, monitor, video displays and Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM) systems system backups and perform system restoration.
  • Provide telephone support by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mobile devices.
  • Coordinate warranty and depot repair with the appropriate vendors.
  • Create scripts to automate tasks and technical documentation for routine work tasks.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all installs and changes.
  • Maintain Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) at customer desks.
  • Document support actions and maintain system support records as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Client Systems Technician Journeyman:
    • Bachelor's degree or approved equivalent experience.
    • IAT/M Level II.
    • 4 years cyber and/or Information technology duties and experiences
    • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Client Systems Technician SME:
    • Bachelor's degree or approved equivalent experience.
    • IAT/M Level II.
    • 6 years cyber and/or Information technology duties and experience.
    • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office.
