Overview

TCAC Fleet Support Engineer position at Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. Required to provide system administration, USMC help desk support, training, and system installations in support of the three Radio Battalions and MarSoc units, to include support of deployed Marine Units. Function as part of an experienced Team of engineers and trainers to support software fielding and testing, and provide USMC Radio Battalion tactical communication interoperability capabilities. Employee will be required to perform scheduled travel to various CONUS/OCONUS in support of Marine Corps Operations.

Responsibilites
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and application problems
  • Provide up to Tier 3 Level IT Support relating to technical issues involving USMC TCAC Family of Systems
  • Provide hardware and software support to USMC end-user customers and acquisition team as required
  • Provide technical consultation, cross-training, and support to IT staff or team members as designated by the government.
  • Provide system-level testing support
  • Assist software developers with server, workstation, and network solutions
  • Provide Research and Development (R&D) support and input for development of products and design
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures related to all aspects of the job
  • Provide feedback to Software and System Engineers on performance issues and operational needs
  • Connect via telephone, remote management applications, and occasionally onsite to resolve client technical issues (10% travel)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study preferred
  • In lieu of degree, must have verified level of commensurate experience/training
  • Must possess or be able to obtain IAT Level II DoD Cyber workforce certification within six months of hiring
  • Ten (8) or more years' Systems Engineering experience supporting SIGINT and/or EW systems
  • Demonstrated experience working with Windows client, Linux, and Windows Server
  • Working knowledge of container-based architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Working knowledge of network setup and management
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must be able to pass a CI scope polygraph within six (6) months of start
  • Applicant must have a current SSBI/PR and obtain immediate access to SCI and be able to pass a CI Polygraph within six months of hire
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance walking through the door
  • Desired - Prior USMC and/or DOD intelligence systems experience preferred
  • Desired - Prior training experience desired
