Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Hardware / Quality Assurance Sustaining Engineer to support validation and qualification efforts for enterprise-class server platforms and hardware components. This is a hands-on lab-based engineering role focused on server hardware validation, failure analysis, and lifecycle management.
This position supports both new product introductions and sustaining engineering efforts for production server systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate server hardware performance against deployment and system requirements
  • Develop and execute stress and margin testing methodologies
  • Define and execute qualification test strategies for processors, memory, storage, and peripheral components
  • Release components for use in production designs
  • Manage product lifecycle changes using PLM tools including ECO and PCN workflows
  • Perform Level 3 root cause failure analysis on field returns and manufacturing yield issues
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve design and quality issues
  • Document validation plans, results, and engineering changes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering plus 35 years relevant experience
  • OR Associate''s Degree plus 810 years relevant experience
  • Hands-on server hardware validation experience
  • Experience debugging high-speed digital and analog power subsystems
  • Proficient using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers
  • Experience with Windows and Linux in server environments
  • Knowledge of Client and/or AMD server-class processors
  • Familiarity with PCI-E, SATA, SAS, Ethernet, IPMI, RAID, BIOS, and BMC systems
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems and Engineering Change Orders
  • Strong root cause analysis and documentation skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport
  • Must be able to work onsite in Plano, TX
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
