What you'll be doing

As a Client Associate, you will work closely with Investment Advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage their portfolios and develop new business. You will directly engage with high-net-worth clients to offer support, uncover business opportunities, and proactively improve the client experience.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you'll be on-site full-time Monday through Friday.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $50,840 to $59,350.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this roleincludes participation in an annual discretionary incentive orbonus program.

How you'll succeed

  • Client Engagement - Focus on each client's experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Anticipate client needs and communicate promptly with your team to build trust and deepen client relationships. Identify activities, processes, and opportunities to improve the client experience.

  • Business Development - Proactively identify business opportunities for your team. Work closely with Investment Advisors to support business development activities and assist in the building of investment plans based on the client's profile, goals, and risk/reward tolerance.

  • Relationship Building - Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities. Grow your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.

Who you are

  • You're a certified professional. You have current accreditation and are in good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID).

  • Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience and working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.
