Job description

Laura Joy Law is a mid-size law firm offering services to individuals who are facing criminal charges as well charges under the provincial act.

We are looking for diligent, dedicated and ambitious lawyer to join our busy office in downtown Windsor. The successful candidate should have a passion for Criminal Defense.

The applicant selected for the position will be well organized, have superior oral and verbal communication skills and be members in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. They will be responsible in the contribution of the continued success of our well-established practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer interested in criminal defense as they will be part of one of the top offices in the criminal defense practice.

Some of the attributes and factors considered in the selection of a successful candidate are:

  • LSO member in good standing;
  • Demonstrated keen interest in Criminal Defense;
  • Ability to work well as a part of the team or independently on projects assigned and client files;
  • Time/practice management, communication and client service experience;
  • Level of experience in drafting correspondence, charter arguments, briefs, motion materials, litigation etc.
