Tax Manager/ Senior Tax Manager

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite - hybrid after 6 months)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role in managing complex tax engagements, overseeing staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex individual, business, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff
  • Oversee engagement planning, workflow, deadlines, and billing
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
