Job description

The position serves as the primary IT leader for the ForHealth Consulting Enterprise Solutions Team, supporting shared solutions and IT services that are used across the business.  The Enterprise Solutions Leader reports to the Deputy, CIO.  This individual is responsible for driving strategy, delivery, and operational support for all shared solutions and IT services, serving as a partner to other Digital Solutions leaders.

This leader drives all technology initiatives, aligning IT resources, projects and activities closely to business needs and priorities. The Enterprise Solutions Leader fosters a collaborative, business-aligned approach to solution development and operational support, working across teams to ensure alignment of enterprise standards and the delivery of high-value solutions.  This individual ensures that IT services, solutions, and initiatives are strategically aligned with business goals and deliver measurable value.  The Enterprise Solutions Leader is responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of IT staff, directing all related IT activities and resources to help the organization achieve its objectives through efficient and effective use of technology, while maintaining strong alignment with Digital Solutions leadership and strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Enterprise Solutions IT team, providing direction and management to align technology with business objectives, service excellence, internal client experience, and operational performance.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of shared solutions that support the ForHealth Consulting IT Roadmap and overall goals, priorities and strategy.
  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and life cycle of the Enterprise Solutions portfolio, proactively planning for end-of-life replacements, and modernization.
  • Work with the Digital Solutions HCFS and HSS teams to leverage common platforms, ensure integration, and promote standardization where appropriate.
  • Partner with the Digital Solutions Architecture/Capture team to evaluate new business opportunities, design and deliver scalable solutions, and oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology capabilities that maintain and enhance the full portfolio of solutions supporting the business.
  • Collaborate with the broader Digital Solutions team to identify and prioritize initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, as well as user and client experience.
  • Manage the operational relationship with UMass Chan IT, to ensure alignment between UMass Chan deliverables and ForHealth Consulting’s priorities. Ensure solutions, services and infrastructure are delivered when expected and to the degree specified. Proactively track and manage issues to successful resolution. Escalate to Digital Solutions Managing Director when indicated.
  • Provide oversight and management of test automation including the procurement and implementation of tools to create test automation capabilities for ForHealth.
  • Manage the Enterprise IT Solutions budget, including resource allocation, forecasting, and time tracking for project-level needs.
  • Partner closely with all ForHealth leaders, including Digital Solutions, to understand strategic priorities and advise and deliver technology solutions.
  • Lead and/or support the digital transformation initiatives for business units or other digital solutions leaders.
  • Develop and execute IT strategy and plans that support the business, in alignment with ForHealth Consulting’s overall goals, priorities and strategy.
  • Deliver realistic, well defined and accurately scoped proposals for new projects, upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to identify and develop architecture and infrastructure needs for data governance, management and analysis
  • Participate in and support IT planning, governance, and budgeting processes.
  • Manage the delivery of shared solutions to ensure ForHealth projects are on time and budget, and deliver successful, high-quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Oversee the Enterprise Solutions Team IT budget, including resource allocation, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Direct IT budget allocation and resource management for the Enterprise Solutions Team, including time tracking for project-level needs, vendor and development partner management, and surge staffing coordination.
  • Establish and prioritize sub-teams as needed, to focus on high priority and high impact initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance testing standards, tools and automation capabilities consistent with accepted community standards
  • Manage external solution partners and staff augmentation resources partners for approved projects
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for platforms and shared solutions
  • Oversee IT operations and infrastructure, coordinating and facilitating service relationship with UMass Chan IT
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures for effective operation and security shared/enterprise solutions.
  • Act as a key liaison for all platform and shared solutions needs, leading and supporting cross-functional IT initiatives.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to enterprise standards, architecture, and security in all IT activities.
  • Identify opportunities for technology to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and create competitive advantage.
  • Monitor IT service performance and manage issue escalation for the Enterprise Solutions Team.
  • Support change management, communication, and adoption efforts related to IT initiatives.
  • Track, measure, and report on the business value delivered by IT investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with direct experience supporting platforms and shared solutions
  • Proven track record in IT strategy development, budget management, solution delivery, and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and serve as a trusted technology advisor.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, compliance requirements, and consulting environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and influence in a matrixed environment
  • Deep experience with IT maturity, service management frameworks, and delivery methodologies

Preferred Qualifictions:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • IT leadership experience in healthcare, human services or public sector
  • Commercial consulting, service or solution delivery experience, with responsibility for project or client management
  • PMP or Lean /Six Sigma certification
  • Experience developing and applying metrics to measure and monitor the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services, including developing and executing performance and service improvement plans
  • Experience measuring and improving client satisfaction for technology services
