Job description

Are you passionate about helping Canadian Federal Public Sector organizations harness the power of cloud technology and AI to accelerate their missions. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Canadian Federal Public Sector team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Canadian federal government departments and agencies navigating their cloud adoption and AI transformation journey - helping them translate ambitious public sector missions into measurable business outcomes through modern cloud solutions.

You will also work closely with AWS Partners and AWS Professional Services to ensure seamless delivery and accelerated customer outcomes.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Worldwide Public Sector team to help customers realize sustained business value by accelerating their cloud transformation journey.
As a CSM in the AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Canadian Federal division, you will guide customers, partners, and internal professional services teams through multi-year cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and AI transformation initiatives. You will work backwards from customer goals - whether that's migrating mission-critical workloads to the cloud, modernizing legacy infrastructure for scalability and resilience, deploying agentic AI workflows to automate operational processes, building generative AI-powered operations assistants, modernizing platforms to fuel AI/ML insights, or accelerating digital readiness with intelligent automation - and drive execution across AWS teams, AWS Partners, and AWS Professional Services to deliver results.
We help Canadian Federal Public Sector organizations understand best practices around adopting cloud-based solutions, migrating existing mission-critical workloads, implementing AI/ML capabilities for data processing, and building organizational cloud and AI fluency. The opportunity to guide federal organizations through the AI revolution - from foundational data readiness to deploying agentic systems that autonomously execute complex operational workflows - is unprecedented

At AWS we value critical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. We love people who innovate, use data to make decisions, and can express themselves thoughtfully.
This position requires approximately 20% travel. Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
Key job responsibilities
Own & Influence: Lead customer engagements end-to-end across Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, AWS Partners, and customer teams to deliver measurable outcomes for Canadian federal government organizations.
Drive Adoption: Develop and execute cloud adoption, migration, and modernization roadmaps aligned with customer milestones - translating strategic initiatives into concrete, sequenced actions.
Accelerate Value: Identify opportunities for large-scale migrations, modernization, data & analytics, generative AI, and agentic AI that advance federal missions and operational efficiency.
Enable & Govern: Design education programs, AI readiness assessments, governance frameworks, and executive briefings that prepare federal customers for responsible AI adoption and long-term operational excellence.
Collaborate & Coordinate: Act as the connective tissue between account teams, solutions architects, AWS Partners, and Professional Services - ensuring cohesive execution against customer cloud strategy.
Build & Scale: Develop scalable mechanisms and best practices that accelerate adoption across the Canadian Federal Public Sector.
A day in the life
As a CSM on the AWS Canadian Federal Public Sector team, you are the customer's trusted advisor and the central connector between federal government clients, AWS Partners, Professional Services, and internal AWS teams - ensuring everyone moves in sync toward shared goals

Your day might include facilitating strategy sessions with customer leadership to align cloud adoption, migration, and AI transformation roadmaps with mission objectives; coordinating between Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture, and AI/ML specialist teams to remove blockers; and tracking progress against key milestones. You'll develop enablement plans that prepare organizations for successful workload migrations and generative AI adoption, lead executive briefings showcasing how agentic AI and AWS capabilities serve federal use cases, and manage go-live events marking critical transitions. Beyond structured activities, you'll proactively identify emerging challenges and develop innovative AI-first solutions that help federal organizations move from AI curiosity to production-grade agentic systems.
