Overview
This is a Financial role based in the Boston, Massachusetts office 3 days a week.
The Manager, Client Reporting role is a Financial business partner to Publicis Agencies client teams reporting to the Associate Director, Client Reporting. Independently driving reporting for client related finance matters including Revenue Recognition, client deliverable tracking, staff utilization tracking and client profitability analysis and reporting. Leveraging data, with an eye for detail, to inform management of business trajectory in order to make business decisions.
Responsibilities
Client Reporting
• Work closely with Client Partner/Client Services to manage client opportunity pipeline
• Work with Delivery & Client services to manage weekly client forecast
• Work with PM leads to develop fee pricing proposals for portfolio of clients in partnership with Client Lead team (annual
retainer and incremental projects)
• Prepare and review reports to ensure they meet reporting requirements per client/Agency agreement.
• Assist in developing financial and billing terms for client contracts. Review contracts in conjunction with Client Finance &
Agency Finance Director.
• Calculate Revenue Recognition during month end close, ensuring that it is being compiled based on contractual terms with the client. While additionally ensuring all revenue is recorded in compliance with revenue recognition guidelines, and
managing PE for audit backup.
Client Profitability
• Partner with FP&A team to prepare client profitability reporting on a monthly basis
• Work closely with Client Finance Director and client teams to analyze issues and identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with client teams to implement profitability improvement strategies
Client Forecasts
• Partner with Agency Finance Team and Client Account Team to develop annual client plan as well as plans for rolling
forecasts
• Assist Associate Director/Director in the development of revenue targets for assigned clients
• Prepare and review monthly rolling forecasts and ensure forecasts are submitted in accordance with calendar and Groupe requirements in coordination with the Client Finance Director
Other
• Manage and track intercompany fee arrangements, assist in developing intercompany agreements and issue related
purchase orders
• Partner with client teams on consistent process implementation across all aspects of client related finance matters
• Oversee Trade Working Capital for their clients ensuring that management is aware of any issues that may put the agency cashflow at risk
• Managing audit requests for both client and external audit
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of work experience considered
• Strong technical skills, especially Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Preference for local Boston Area Candidates
• Experience in SAAS preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Experience presenting financial information to non-financial teams
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Comfortable digging through large volumes of reporting for key operational findings
• Ability to maintain and grow positive client relationships
• Self-motivation to work independently
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
