Job description

Wachter is seeking a highly motivated Low Voltage Field Manager to serve as the vital link between our onsite field teams and corporate Project Managers.
This dynamic, full-time role combines hands-on technical fieldwork with leadership, quality control, and junior project management responsibilities.
If you are a skilled field technician looking to transition your career into leadership, client relations, and operational management, this is the perfect opportunity.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Background running multiple low-voltage projects simultaneously (CCTV, access control, network racks, cabling).
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of commercial (retail, warehouse, etc.) work environments.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, bid specs, and construction take-offs.
  • Tech Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) with a typing speed of at least 40 WPM for reporting.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong time management, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Education: College education is preferred, but equivalent field experience is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversight: Monitor and assist in installation progress against project timelines and verify physical installation quality.
  • Leadership: Provide hands-on training and development for field employees.
  • Client Relations: Conduct project kick-offs, walk through project scopes, and build trust with onsite client contacts.
  • Reporting: Document onsite findings and progress, translating field data into clear updates for Project Managers.
  • Safety: Strictly promote and enforce Wachter's zero-tolerance safety culture and complete daily toolbox talks.
  • Flexibility: Remain available to handle emergency maintenance tickets and perform basic project management tasks as needed.
