Job description

Our client, a company that provides customized investment services to individuals, foundations/endowments, trusts, and retirement plans, is looking for a Client Relations and Operations candidate to join their team. Their objective is to preserve and enhance the real purchasing power of their clients wealth over time. The Client Relations & Operations role provides the opportunity to learn first-hand about wealth management, equity and fixed income investing, and investment operations from one of the largest investment advisors in MN. Continuing education is also supported (e.g., CFA).


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITES

      • Work in a collaborative environment focusing on client service and supporting the firms portfolio managers on maintaining strong client relationships
      • Member of a team whose primary responsibility is client service, accurate qualitative and quantitative account maintenance and reporting, portfolio metrics and database maintenance, and responding to ad-hoc information requests
      • Provide superior service to clients via verbal and written communication
      • Set up and maintain client accounts
      • Compile and complete client, custodian, and firm paperwork
      • Review and maintain client transactions and activity
      • Execute firm tasks such as asset transfers and general support of portfolio and investment strategies
      • Distribute client reporting, including quarterly performance metrics and statements, in a timely and accurate manner
      • Update and maintain performance metrics for the firms Composites and database entry
      • Investment analytics for Investment Committee meeting materials
      • Provide administrative support for portfolio managers including phone call coverage and arranging meetings
      • Participate in projects designed to improve customer service, create efficiencies and improve the firms operations. For example, projects to streamline trading and financial reports, develop marketing strategy, or create PowerPoint presentations.
      • 1-3 years of industry experience; four-year degree or continuing education preferred
      • Intermediate understanding of the financial markets
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Proven attention to detail with eye for accuracy while handling sensitive and confidential information
      • Strong ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and work streams, and communicate status to multiple stakeholders
      • Ability to work as part of a close-knit team with both peers and supervisors
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat
