As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Client / Project Manager to join our Aviation Midwest group at any of the following office locations: Middleton, WI (greater Madison area); West Allis (Milwaukee area), and De Pere, WI.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading project teams, including management of scope development and execution
  • Collaborating with our clients and partner agencies to solve challenges and deliver complex infrastructure improvements through communication and innovative engineering solutions
  • Partnering with upper management in business development through pursuing and leading opportunities and winning work
  • Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies and permits related to planning and engineering design
  • Leading proactive client interactions and communications with regards to federal programming, and state and government agencies
  • Performing QA/QC tasks
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance for less experienced technical staff
  • Maintaining familiarity with technical requirements and regulations affecting the aviation industry and other potential consulting opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

A valid driver’s license and approximately 10% - 20% travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have the following:
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the fields of transportation, airport, or municipal engineering.
The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:
  • At least 10 or more years of relevant experience is highly preferred
  • PE license is preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with:
    • Leading airport design projects (taxiways, aprons, runways, etc.)
    • Serving as the project manager on airport planning and design projects
    • Mentoring and leading engineering project teams
    • Preparing scope of work, fees, contracts, plans, specifications, capital improvement plans, program management, or related experience
    • Performing QA/QC reviews
    • Performing business development activities
