Assistant Project Manager - Buildings

Chicago, IL– Hybrid (Depends on Project amp; Client)

Salary: $91,000 - $112,000 (Depending on Experience) – Full Time with Benefits

Take your career to the next level with us! R.M. Chin amp; Associates, Inc. (CHIN) is seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to support construction planning and management of new builds and remodeling projects for our Cook County Health and Hospital Portfolio. The APM will have previous experience in healthcare and hospital construction (preferred) and assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in the planning and delivery of the client’s project. The APM should be able to demonstrate and provide solid construction management services. We are seeking candidates who are eager to learn with a desire to grow their project management career with CHIN.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education – bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, or highly-related discipline preferred.
  • Experience – 5 - 7 years, must be relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in health and hospital construction preferred
  • Strong problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Candidates must demonstrate good work ethic while open to career growth and a path to advancement

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Observation and reporting

Quality Management / Document Control

Contract Administration tasks

Become a key player in assisting the PM/Sr. PM to provide construction services

Facilitate and document project meetings

Follow up on items including deadlines and milestone tasks

Design / Constructability review

Monitor and Update project schedules

Job Offer:

Competitive base salary between $91,000 - $112,000K, depending on project assignment, experience, skills, and location.

Annual bonuses are based on individual and company performance.
