Description
This position provides overall management of the medical team and services offered through our company. The Program Manager will provide oversight to staff on policies and procedures as related to compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and laws, ethics, programs, and client services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Manage, supervise, and evaluate all medical staff and services of the company. Maintain adequate supervision structure and ratios of supervisor to staff.
  2. Promote WRMH mission, philosophy, code of ethics, vision, principles, and chosen values to support a positive working environment and continuous quality improvement among staff.
  3. Identify and monitor staff training needs for employees and agents in all areas of clinical practice, documentation and ethics.
  4. Implement company policy and regularly review and develop respective division clinical practice standard operating procedures.
  5. Responsible to insure adequate and effective forms of communication exists between division staff and supervisors and other corporate divisions, as needed, including staff participation in the company community relations, quality improvement and training plans.
  6. Stay current on applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations related to nursing practices and mental health services.
  7. Bring to the attention of the Clinical Director and CEO any allegations or suspected violations of law, professional ethics, client complaints or improper business practices.
  8. Review and evaluate nursing services for efficiency and client/customer satisfaction.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient care and staff development.
  10. Recommend new or revisions to the budget, personnel and other operating plans and policies to control risk and assure long-term goals and objectives are being met.
  11. Work closely with the CFO to coordinate budgeting, meeting financial obligations and internal compliance review and monitoring of billing and documentation practices.
  12. Develop, maintain and monitor procedures and practices for administering and storage of medications.
  13. Participate in new program development, including but not limited to, new service contract development and grant writing.
  14. Represent BMS positively to the community, state, regional and national associations.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to nursing and mental health services.
  2. Knowledge of community resources and ability to network and develop relationships with community leaders.
  3. Knowledge of and skill in using computer keyboard for typing.
  4. Knowledge of and skill in administering CPR, first aid and medication management
  5. Ability to maintain a South Dakota Registered Nurse or Certified Nurse Practitioner
  6. Ability to enter a variety of buildings including, but not limited to, court systems, public service agencies, client homes, which may involve climbing or descending from multiple levels.
  7. Ability to respond to clients by phone and face to face in emergency situations.
  8. Ability to interact professionally with clients and customers.
  9. Ability to sit to type on computer keyboard for short to moderate lengths of time.
  10. Ability to maintain a South Dakota driver's license and vehicle liability insurance and safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Certified Nurse Practitioner in the State of South Dakota. Five years of human service and leadership experience preferred. Psychiatric and supervisory experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Hand and finger dexterity for computer keyboarding. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and frequent bending, stooping and light to moderate lifting exerting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Ability to enter a variety of buildings, climbing and descending from multiple levels. Getting into and out of vehicles multiple times per day.
