Job Summary

Under direction of the Director of Operations, the Operations Manager will undertake general oversight of operational and administrative functions across a large contract based out of the Inland Empire. This person will ensure the highest standards of security and compliance are being met across all sites.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administers internal control programs, as designated by the Director of Operations, to facilitate the operational or administrative qualifications of the contract.
  • Manages large-scale deliverables and ensures security variables such as Non-billable Overtime are maintained at or exceeding company standards.
  • Receives and executes, on behalf of the Director of Operations, such technical directions as the client may issue within the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Monitoring and acting upon all attendance and disciplinary issues of Contractor’s personnel.
  • Prepare all weekly summary reports required for the operation, including but not limited to post incident reports and daily total guard hours.
  • Maintain all post orders in a central file and ensure posts have copies of these orders at all times.
  • Conduct specialized security training required by the Director of Operations.
  • Establish performance measures for the service provided under this Contract and other means to ensure productivity and overall effectiveness.
  • Attend daily briefings with both the Director of Operations and/or the Senior Vice President of Operations to provide updates on all posts and communicate any issues, problems or concerns including the number of Agents on post and the number of relief Security Agents as required.
  • Recommend enhancements to policy and procedures.
  • Engage subordinate Managers and Security Operators to ensure contract compliance and define performance expectations.
  • Ensure sound business practices are deployed to comply with financial performance projections.
  • Maintains high standards of competence through instruction and training for the Managers, Supervisors, and security personnel.
  • Provide direct management to subordinate personnel.

Qualifications

  • Must possess at least eight years of experience managing security operations at a complex, multi-use facility; or six years serving in the US military or law enforcement.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be highly organized and available during off-hours, weekends, etc.
  • Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Individual must have experience managing Guard staff.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to receive and disseminate information clearly is required.
  • Ability to support First Responders as directed is required.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize is required.
  • Individual must be highly organized and responsive.
  • Courteous, "customer-service" demeanor is required
