Position Overview:

We are currently looking for an outstanding individual to join our organization as a Client Services & Operations Associate at our Sagard Wealth team in Toronto.

Compensation range: CAD$70,000 to CAD$80,000

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cash and position reconciliations across custodians and portfolio management systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Ensure accurate and timely settlement of trades, cash movements, and FX transactions, coordinating with custodians and dealers.

  • Support subscription and redemption processing for pooled funds and managed accounts, including NAV verification and settlement confirmation.

  • Monitor corporate action events including dividends, splits, and reorganizations, ensuring accurate account updates.

  • Facilitate end-to-end client onboarding including account opening, KYC/AML processing, and coordination with custodians and transfer agents.

  • Process registered (RRSP, TFSA, RESP, RRIF, LIRA, LIF) and non-registered account applications, ensuring CIRO and FINTRAC compliance.

  • Manage ongoing account maintenance and coordinate with tax, legal, and compliance teams on complex account structures.

  • Support data collection, validation, and delivery for client reporting, regulatory filings, and management information requests.

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and leverage AI and automation tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

  • Support special projects including fund launches, platform migrations, and vendor evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5+ years in investment operations, fund administration, or client services within a Canadian wealth management or asset management firm.

  • Working knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlement processes, Canadian account types, and regulatory frameworks (CIRO, NI 31-103, FINTRAC).

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting; CSC or equivalent designation is an asset.

  • Proficiency with portfolio management platforms (e.g., Dataphile, Univeris, IRESS) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with, or strong aptitude to learn, AI and automation tools including LLMs, workflow automation, and intelligent document processing.

  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume concurrent tasks.

  • Curious, self-motivated, and accountable, with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Execution-oriented and fluent in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
