Job description

Coos Bay, Oregon – Non-Invasive Cardiologist Opportunity (Permanent, Full-Time)Position Overview
  • Role: Non-Invasive Cardiologist

  • Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient (hospital + clinic)

  • Schedule:

    • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

    • Shared call (Echo rotation, including weekend reading)

  • Practice Location:

    • Bay Area Hospital (127-bed, Level III Trauma Center)

    • Prefontaine Cardiovascular Clinic

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret:

    • EKGs, Echocardiograms, Stress Tests, Nuclear Imaging

    • Trans-Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), Cardiac Monitoring

    • Cardioversion

  • Provide:

    • Evaluation and management of cardiac conditions

    • Supervision of cardiac rehab plans

    • Outreach to nearby critical access hospitals

    • Patient and family education

  • Collaborate with:

    • Internal medicine, hospitalists, cardiology, and other specialties

  • Maintain timely documentation in EMR

  • Participate in meetings and clinical policy development

  • Stay current with CME and board certification standards

Team & Support
  • Collegial, high-caliber Cardiology team

  • NP/PA support

  • Average 10–15 patients/day

  • Large primary care and community referral base

  • Customized onboarding process tailored to your skill set

Candidate Requirements
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology (Non-Invasive)

  • Nuclear and Echo Certification strongly preferred

  • Clean malpractice and background history required

  • NPDB Self-Query Report required

  • Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates

  • Local residency required – relocation support available

  • Not a locums role
