Job description

Own the First 90 Days for Every Brand We Sign

Role: Onboarding Manager (Amazon Marketplace)

Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers)

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $135,000

At Luminize, we help brands win, and as one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the US, we're looking for top performers to grow with us.

Every brand we sign arrives with a set of expectations formed during the sales process. Onboarding is where those expectations meet reality, and that collision is where partnerships are either won or quietly lost. Scope has to get reconciled. Timelines have to get renegotiated. A client who expected one thing has to be walked to a different, better answer without losing confidence in the decision they made.

Right now nobody owns that conversation. We're hiring one person to own it end to end.

This is a build role. You'll run live onboardings from day one as the client's primary point of contact, and you'll design the playbook the whole company runs on as we scale. You are the first person in this seat, which means the standard is yours to set, and as our client volume grows, so does the opportunity to grow the function around you.
You might currently be a Client Onboarding Manager, Client Partner, Engagement Manager, and Customer Success Manager Implementation Manager, Launch or Activation Manager, Amazon Account Manager, Marketplace Manager, eCommerce Brand Manager, or Client Services Manager. If you've moved brands onto Amazon and lived through the catalog, inventory, and Subscribe & Save side of that transition, you'll recognize this role.

If you like ownership, hate loose ends, and want your work to be the reason a client stays for years, let's talk.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding and activation of every newly signed brand, from late-stage sales handoff through full transition to the Brand Management team
  • Carry the brands you onboard as their primary point of contact, running day-to-day execution and building trust fast with new partners
  • Operates within ambiguous and complex onboarding processes, navigating custom contract terms and Amazon requirements
  • Build and run detailed onboarding project plans in Asana across Content, Advertising, Supply Chain, Creative, Catalog, and Data
  • Reconcile what sales committed with what onboarding can deliver, and lead the conversation with the client when those differ
  • Own client escalations and conflicts during onboarding, including renegotiating scope, sequencing, and timelines without escalating to leadership by default
  • Serve as the single accountable owner of the client relationship from signature through Brand Management handoff, including holding the line on commitments the client believes were made
  • Set and defend the catalog and SKU launch plan with our Catalog team, owning the client-facing timeline and every scope change against it
  • Own the client-facing inventory and launch timeline, working through our Supply Chain Onboarding team, and make the call when a forecast or PO commitment has to change
  • Assist with Subscribe & Save transfers with Seller Central and direct Amazon rep communication
  • Coordinate Seller Central and Vendor Central access via Amazon SPP, plus internal systems permissions
  • Guide clients through initial POs, forecasts, and launch planning alongside internal teams
  • Join late-stage sales conversations so deal context, scope, and commitments translate cleanly into onboarding deliverables
  • Lead structured handoff meetings so the Brand Manager inherits a stable, fully documented account
  • Design, document, and continuously improve Luminize's onboarding playbook, standards, and templates
  • Juggle multiple concurrent onboardings across different brands and stages

What You Bring

  • 5+ years combined across eCommerce, brand or account management, and project management (agency or client services experience preferred)
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, including working directly with Amazon reps to resolve account-level requests
  • A track record guiding clients through complex onboarding or implementation processes
  • Demonstrated experience navigating client conflict and negotiating scope or timeline changes with senior stakeholders, ideally in a services or agency setting where the commercial relationship was at stake.
  • Serious project management and organizational chops, with the ability to run several timelines at once without dropping detail
  • Comfort operating strategically and hands-on in the same day
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain a process clearly to a nervous new client
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and the instinct to build the system, not just work the task
  • Proficiency in Asana (or similar), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office

Work From Symphony Towers

  • Ergonomic standing desks and premium workstations
  • Fully stocked kitchen, snacks, espresso
  • Monthly all-company lunches to celebrate wins and stay connected
  • A team lounge with pool table and games for when you need a break
