Job description

Medication Distribution Assistant

This position is responsible for assisting in the self-distribution of resident medications to Renewal's male and female residential population to ensure proper medication management. Responsibilities require documentation of medication distribution in the Renewal electronic tracking system. This individual will work closely with the medical staff as well as case management and clinical staff of Renewal in regards to client's medication. This individual will adhere to medication schedule for individual and program needs as well as ensure prescription label and storage procedures meet required standard.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Medical and behavioral healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or prescription labeling preferred. Valid PA driver's license and ACT 33 and 34 required.
