Job description

Client Manager

We work across a variety of industries providing integrated engineering and consulting services. Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more

Job Summary: This is a hybrid position working part time out of our remote facility in Lemoore CA. You will be responsible for the successful execution of projects along with reaching out to new customers to generate new opportunities. It is expected that the successful candidate will have a proven track record, is a professional who is both capable of delivering high-quality technical work and of generating new business through client engagement and sales activities.

Role Overview
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with clients and vendors to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
  • Represent Salas O'Brien's collective expertise and values in both delivery and growth conversations.
  • Meet with customers to develop solutions to their current and potential problems.
  • Work closely with planner / scheduler & Fabrication Supervisors and Sales teams to ensure all parts & prints are ready for Installation.
  • Train the workforce in specialty Installation requirements.
  • Assist in hiring of local workforce for installation projects.
  • Work with field staff on training and exercises to improve skills.
  • Ensure safety standards are met, and regular training is administered.
  • Manage QC standards and implement improvements where needed.
Business Development
  • Identify and qualify potential clients and opportunities.
  • Develop and present proposals, pitches, and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure new business.
  • Maintain and grow existing client accounts.
Service Delivery
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Ensure technical quality and compliance.
  • Communicate progress and challenges to clients and internal teams.
  • Resolve client issues and maintain satisfaction.
Relationship & Collaboration
  • Build trust and credibility with clients through authentic, expertise-based engagement
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical, and leadership teams to align delivery and growth goal.
  • Act as a bridge between technical work and business strategy.

Travel: Travel will be required to meet with customers and assist with project execution.

Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $160,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
