Job description

Job Title: Implementation Project Manager 

Department: Healthcare Innovation

Reports to: Sr. Product Manager

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Work Schedule: Full-time 

Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to various project sites and client locations.

As an Implementation Project Manager for our groundbreaking product, Smarthood™, you will play a vital role in introducing our state-of-the-art, software-agnostic laminar flow hoods and Class II biosafety cabinets, integrated with advanced IV compounding software, to hospital pharmacies. Your expertise in cleanroom equipment and certification processes will ensure smooth and efficient implementation with minimal disruption to hospital operations. Additionally, the Implementation Project Manager may also be called upon to assist with set-in-place services for other Germfree products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate customer kickoff calls, periodic check-ins, and optimization meetings throughout the project implementation lifecycle.
  • Consult with Pharmacy Customers to plan and execute the Full Implementation Cycle for Smarthood™, including, but not limited to, Client Discovery, Initiation, Installation, Go-Live, and Optimization. 
  • Act as the main point of contact for communication and status updates throughout the Smarthood™ implementation process.
  • Install and configure Smarthood™ portfolio of products, including the Laminar Flow, Biological Safety Cabinet Smarthood™ innovative components, including computers, scanners, cameras, printers, gravimetric scales, and any future Smarthood™ products. 
  • Facilitate the rapid operationalization of Smarthood™ units to minimize downtime in hospital pharmacies.
  • Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing support to customers and Germfree Stakeholders to effectively use and maintain Smarthood™ technology.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues while providing solutions to enhance the product's performance and usability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and comprehensive service experience.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including workbooks, checklists, work instructions, and training documents, for Smarthood™ products.
  • Maintain documentation of all installation and service activities for client and regulatory

compliance.

  • Continuously update knowledge on product features, cleanroom standards, and healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in facilitating Set in Place Services for other Germfree products. 
  • Participate in the service calls that may require on-site assistance as needed. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of laminar flow hoods, biosafety cabinets, and cleanroom technology.
  • Skilled experience in medium to large enterprise Implementations for complex Health Care Systems. 
  • Proficient in installing and configuring complex hardware systems, a plus. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/implementations simultaneously. 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead training sessions and engage effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Prior experience in clinical or pharmacy practice is preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and certification processes for cleanroom equipment.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for implementations, including potential overnight or weekend trips regionally, nationally, and internationally. 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Healthcare Administration) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in assisting with the implementation of complex cleanroom equipment within hospital environments or managing intricate implementations for medium to large healthcare systems.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification and Licensure is preferred.
  • Sterile Pharmacy Technician Certification is highly desirable.
  • Training in cleanroom environments or equivalent credentials is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of IV compounding processes and software integration is advantageous.
  • Project management skills with the ability to effectively manage tight deadlines and ensure successful project delivery.
