Job description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a global technology organization, is seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Implementation Project Manager. This role is responsible for leading a large-scale payroll platform migration, managing complex HRIS and ERP integrations, and ensuring successful delivery of payroll transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience overseeing enterprise payroll implementations involving data migration, system validation, compliance, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Job Duties

  • Lead end-to-end payroll implementation projects from planning through post-go-live support
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and implementation schedules
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications
  • Manage multiple implementation workstreams across Payroll, HR, Finance, Benefits, and Technology teams
  • Define and document payroll process, operational, and data requirements
  • Oversee payroll system configuration, integration activities, and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate payroll data migration efforts, including validation, reconciliation, and audit activities
  • Manage integrations between payroll platforms, HRIS systems, benefits providers, and ERP applications
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, user acceptance testing, and payroll validation processes
  • Identify, track, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Lead go-live readiness activities, deployment planning, and transition support
  • Maintain project documentation including status reports, workflows, implementation plans, and procedural guides
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Implement change management strategies to support organizational adoption and transition efforts

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise payroll implementation projects
  • Must have hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll platform
  • Must have hands-on experience with ADP GlobalView payroll implementations
  • Experience managing Workday HRIS integration projects
  • Proven experience with payroll operations, tax compliance, and payroll processing requirements
  • Experience leading payroll data migration, validation, reconciliation, and audit activities
  • Experience managing payroll testing, parallel testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Experience coordinating integrations between payroll systems and ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of general ledger mapping and payroll financial interfaces
  • Experience managing large-scale implementations with multiple stakeholders and aggressive timelines
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies, project scheduling, and risk management

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting global or multi-country payroll implementations
  • Experience with Oracle ERP integrations
  • Experience implementing payroll vendor and benefits platform integrations
  • Knowledge of payroll reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience managing enterprise HR technology transformation initiatives
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience supporting organizational change management during payroll transformations
