Job description

About Invisible
Invisible Technologies makes AI work. Our end-to-end AI platform structures messy data, automates digital workflows, deploys agentic solutions, measures outcomes, and integrates human expertise where it matters most.
Our platform cleans, labels, and structures company data so it is ready for AI. It adapts models to each business and adds human expertise when needed, the same approach we have used to improve models for more than 80% of the world's top AI companies, including Microsoft, AWS, and Cohere.
Our successes span industries, from supply chain automation for Swiss Gear to AI-enabled naval simulations with SAIC, and validating NBA draft picks for the Charlotte Hornets.
Profitable for more than half a decade, Invisible reached $134M in revenue and ranked as the number two fastest growing AI company on the 2024 Inc. 5000. In September 2025, we raised $100M in growth capital to accelerate our mission of making AI actually work in the enterprise and to advance our platform technology.
About The Role
As a Staff/Principal-level Technical Lead, you will be the definitive architectural mind and engineering engine behind our most critical customers' success. Operating in a strategic "two-in-a-box" partnership with a Project Lead, you will drive the technical execution of enterprise engagements. In the Tech Lead capacity, you will own and independently manage multiple concurrent implementations, ensuring our AI-enabled solutions are integrated seamlessly, securely, and scalably into our clients' complex ecosystems. This role blends deep technical expertise with elite forward-deployed engineering, making you the primary technical authority in helping enterprise customers transform their infrastructure and workflows with AI.
What You'll Do
  • Drive the end-to-end technical execution of multiple concurrent enterprise engagements, in close partnership with the Project Lead, from technical discovery to production deployment.
  • Architect and implement secure, highly scalable integrations between our AI platform and the client's existing data pipelines, APIs, and infrastructure.
  • Lead authoritative technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and data readiness assessments with customer IT, data, and engineering leadership teams.
  • Build and customize robust AI-enabled solutions, scripts, and workflows that directly address the complex business problems identified through the sales process.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison-and escalation point-between customer engineering teams and our internal product, engineering, and data science teams to rapidly unblock deployments
  • Ensure all deployed solutions across your portfolio meet rigorous, enterprise-grade standards for performance, security, data privacy, and scalability.
  • Debug complex integration issues, proactively manage technical risks across overlapping projects, and provide hands-on troubleshooting during the implementation phase.
  • Contribute heavily to our internal codebase by documenting technical blueprints, developing reusable integration components, and providing critical product feedback based on real-world edge cases.
What We Need
Experience:
  • 8+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or technical architecture (Staff/Principal Level): You have a proven track record of architecting, building, and deploying complex technical solutions at scale, ideally in SaaS, AI/ML, or cloud-native environments.
  • Elite forward-deployed or client-facing engineering experience: You are highly comfortable writing production-grade code and designing distributed systems while actively engaging with, and leading, external enterprise clients. You expertly know how to navigate the intricacies and complexities of sprawling enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven experience delivering concurrent technical integrations: You have a rock-solid foundation in successfully taking a portfolio of projects from conceptual architecture diagrams to live, scalable production systems on time.

Skills:
  • Deep technical fluency in AI/ML and Data Infrastructure: You possess highly advanced programming skills (e.g., Python, TypeScript) and a deep, authoritative understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), REST APIs, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and modern data pipelines.
  • Applied AI/ML Knowledge: You understand intimately how to work with Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, vector databases, and machine learning deployment principles in enterprise settings.
  • Executive-Level Technical Communication: While the Project Lead handles business translation, you must excel at explaining, defending, and aligning complex technical architectures, security postures, and integration requirements to client engineers, CISOs, and IT Directors.
  • Systems Thinking and Debugging: You have an elite knack for identifying technical roadblocks early, designing robust architectures that anticipate massive scale, and systematically debugging deeply entrenched issues across distributed systems.

Mindset and Approach:
  • Symbiotic Collaborator: You thrive in a "two-in-a-box" model. You rely on your Project Lead to manage stakeholders and scope, while they rely on you to guarantee the technical reality of the solution. You communicate technical risks to them proactively and consistently.
  • Builder and Problem Solver: You are intensely hands-on. You don't just design solutions on a whiteboard ; you are eager to dive deep into the data, write complex integration code, and make the platform work seamlessly for the customer.
  • Quality and Security Focused: You treat customer data and system integrity with the highest possible level of care, strictly ensuring that every deployment adheres to enterprise-grade security and compliance standards.

*Travel: Ability to travel roughly 25% of the time, sometimes short-notice trips-primarily across North America with occasional international roll-outs-to work directly on-site with clients
