Recovering Hope Treatment Center is an approved site for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery (STAR) Loan Repayment Program - a federal program through HRSA that offers eligible staff up to $250,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for a six-year full-time service commitment in SUD treatment.

Position Summary

The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, staffing, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance of Recovering Hope's licensed residential treatment program.

This position provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality, client-centered care while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture for employees.

The Director serves as a member of the leadership team and is responsible for maintaining compliance with Minnesota 245G regulations, promoting best practices in substance use disorder treatment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, staff, and families.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture
  • Create and maintain a culture aligned with Recovering Hope's mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to residential staff and managers.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate employees.
  • Foster employee engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Participate as a member of the organization's leadership team.
Clinical & Program Oversight
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based treatment services.
  • Oversee residential treatment programming and client care.
  • Support implementation of best practices in substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes and identify opportunities for program improvement.
  • Address client concerns, grievances, and service quality issues.
Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable 245G, 245A, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as the designated staff person responsible for day-to-day program operations.
  • Oversee documentation, audits, incident reporting, and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain compliance of the residential treatment program and licensed daycare.
  • Ensure staff training requirements are completed and maintained.
Community & Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with referral sources, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Represent Recovering Hope in the community and profession.

Requirements

Required
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in good standing with the State of Minnesota.
  • Minimum of three years' experience providing substance use disorder treatment services.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota Chapter 245G and related regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Experience managing multiple teams.
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders.
