Job description

Job Description This position supports the business development and marketing activities of the firm's Financial Restructuring Group practice group. The Marketing & BD Coordinator will provide marketing support (including but not limited to events and seminars, award and directory submissions, database maintenance, market research, etc.) to the Financial Restructuring Group, with oversight from the Business Development Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate the regular update marketing content, including attorney biographies and photos, practice area/office descriptions, and related news items on the firm website and in firm materials

Collect and maintain representative matters, client and industry lists for use in marketing materials. Draft responses to RFPs, customized pitches, and business development presentations. Prepare, review and revise directory and award submissions for assigned practice, working with partners directly to submit responses in a timely fashion, and prepare analysis of results.

Oversight of inventory of practice area brochures, and other collateral for general marketing purposes. Coordinate client-focused events and sponsorships, including budget tracking, drafting/mailing invitations, production of materials and handouts, working or attending the event, measuring ROI and ensuring participant follow up. Assist in compiling research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, presentations, and proposals.

Liaise with PR/Communications team on practice-related press releases and other external communications ensuring visibility of the practice and related lawyers in the relevant markets. Other responsibilities as they are assigned. Qualifications/Skills Minimum 1-3 years marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

Must possess enthusiasm and dedication to the development of a professional services marketing/BD career. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; Strong technical background, interest and willingness to learn new software systems is preferred. Experience with email marketing tools, website CMS, event management platforms, InterAction or other CRM programs is highly desirable.

Strong attention to detail is a must. Organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.

Must have the ability to work proactively and anticipate follow up actions. An ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Must have the ability to handle confidential information and use discretion. Must be flexible and available to work overtime as needed. Education Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
