Job description

Direct Counsel represents a respected law firm in Pasadena, CA who is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 6+ years of broad civil litigation experience to join its growing practice. The firm is flexible regarding hybrid or remote arrangements depending on the candidate.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing sophisticated litigation matters, working closely with Partners, and handling a steady caseload in a billable environment. The firm is also seeking an attorney with business development potential who is interested in contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Leadership or team management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Handle general civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement discussions
  • Collaborate closely with Partners on complex litigation matters
  • Manage deadlines and workload in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Assist with client development and maintaining client relationships
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of broad civil litigation experience
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage litigation matters
  • Business development experience or interest preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a 1,800+ annual billable hour pace
Compensation

Salary Range: $130,000+ annually, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities and additional incentive compensation.
