Healthcare Administrative Assistant - Front Desk & Scheduling (Contract)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMType: Contract (potential for permanent hire)
Overview
This role supports essential healthcare administrative functions at a client facility, focusing on patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and communication across multiple service lines. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance and alignment with workflow and culture.
Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Healthcare
    • Administration
  • 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following Epic modules:
    • Epic ClinDoc
    • EpicCare Inpatient
    • Epic Inpatient
Key Responsibilities
  • Check patients in and out
  • Schedule appointments and manage waitlists across multiple service lines
  • Answer calls forwarded from the call center
  • Schedule scans and ensure correct appointment types
  • Ensure paperwork and consent forms are completed prior to visits
  • Fax documents to patients and facilities
  • Respond to patient messages promptly and courteously
  • Coordinate communication between various service lines
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
