Job description

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Workplace Type: Hybrid

Compensation: $85,000–$94,000 per year

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Salt Lake City consulting team. As a Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on each client’s size and needs.

To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Handle sales tax filings, bank and credit card reconciliations, royalties accounting, and accruals

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

• Serve as primary contact for external auditors

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)

• Previous experience in accounting management or related fields

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and procedures

• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other advanced spreadsheet functions

• Strong leadership, analytical, and critical-thinking skills

• Client-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
