We are looking for a Junior IT Asset Support Analyst to support asset lifecycle operations for a large enterprise environment in Kansas City, Kansas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on coordinating procurement, shipment handling, inventory accuracy, account support, and documentation for IT equipment and related services. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in corporate purchasing, ticket-driven support, and asset tracking, along with the ability to work across technical, operational, and accounting teams.
Responsibilities:
โข Coordinate the purchase of network hardware, peripherals, and related technology items by working with approved suppliers and internal stakeholders.
โข Identify cost-saving opportunities by applying negotiated vendor terms, carrier programs, bulk buying options, and available promotions to purchasing activities.
โข Manage outbound logistics for IT assets by preparing, dispatching, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
โข Process incoming equipment promptly, update asset records, and confirm inventory details as items are received.
โข Oversee the retirement of obsolete network and server equipment, including collection, decommissioning, and environmentally responsible disposal or recycling.
โข Support asset transfers and account consolidation activities associated with mergers or acquisitions while maintaining accurate ownership records.
โข Partner with Accounting to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, intercompany chargebacks, and invoice-related questions.
โข Develop and maintain clear documentation covering procurement workflows, asset data updates, offboarding procedures, and decommissioning practices.
โข Assist with reporting related to inventory, licensing, financial activity, and other operational metrics as needed.

โข Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.
โข At least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to procurement, asset management, or desktop/support operations in a corporate environment.
โข Experience handling purchasing, invoices, expense tracking, or account support within a large enterprise setting.
โข Working knowledge of account administration tasks such as creating, updating, auditing, or removing user accounts and distribution groups.
โข Ability to generate and compile reports tied to inventory, licensing, and financial or business operations data.
โข Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing platform, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
โข Strong customer service, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information in a clear and practical way.
โข Ability to document processes thoroughly and follow structured procedures to resolve issues efficiently.
