Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced and driven Client Account Manager - Air Quality focused with expertise in air quality compliance (permitting, stack testing, ambient air monitoring) and account management to support business growth and client engagement. This role is ideal for a proven sales leader with an existing book of clients, strong relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of air quality strategies. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and delivering innovative environmental solutions.
This hybrid position can be based out of AECOM's offices in Houston, TX; Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Denver, CO; Fort Collins, CO; Minneapolis, MN; or Orange, CA. We are also open to candidates not located in these areas, however, must be located within the Western Region of the United States.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute business strategies to expand AECOM's air quality compliance services.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities in the public and private sectors.
  • Leverage an existing book of clients to generate sales and secure high-value environmental projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop and present proposals, technical solutions, and service offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to align with client needs and financial objectives.
  • Provide industry insight and stay updated on air quality regulations, compliance standards, and emerging trends.
  • Support cross-business collaboration to provide integrated environmental solutions across multiple sectors.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets while contributing to the long-term strategic vision of AECOM.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or related field.
  • 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in managing client accounts, sales and drive business development within air quality compliance services.
  • Travel of 25-50% will be required, as this is a client facing role.
  • Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification are required.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in account management, sales, and air quality compliance services.
  • Proven ability to manage client accounts and drive business development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of air quality regulations, permitting, and compliance.
  • Experience leading large-scale environmental compliance projects.
  • Established industry relationships with clients in government, energy, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, sales forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization, coordinating across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data analytics, and sales tracking platforms.
