Surety Account Manager – Property & Casualty

RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do / Your Impact Client Partnership & Risk Strategy
  • Support clients by processing contract and commercial bond requests accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and submit surety applications and underwriting packages to carriers
  • Review bond documentation, contracts, bid specifications, cost estimates, financial statements, and work‑in‑progress reports
  • Partner with clients, producers, carriers, and internal teams to deliver responsive service and timely follow‑up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, clients, producers, and colleagues
  • Maintain current knowledge of carrier underwriting requirements and authority guidelines
Operational Excellence
  • Manage account responsibilities with increasing independence while supporting an assigned book of business
  • Process contract bond requests including bid bonds, final bonds, riders, consents, endorsements, cancellations, and final billings
  • Process commercial bond requests including renewals, non‑renewals, license and permit bonds, miscellaneous bonds, riders, endorsements, and cancellations
  • Prioritize workload to ensure service standards and deadlines are met
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in Erlon, Sagitta, and ImageRight
  • Ensure documentation and processes comply with company standards and carrier requirements
  • Participate in assigned training and professional development opportunities
Strategic Contribution
  • Support new business development through preparation of surety submissions and underwriting documentation
  • Collaborate with bond managers, team leads, senior account managers, and producers to deliver client solutions
  • Contribute to client retention through exceptional service and relationship management
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client experience
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS What You Bring Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an account specialist role or equivalent
  • Experience supporting client accounts within insurance, surety, or a related financial services environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Resident State Agent License or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire
  • Resident State Notary License or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire
Preferred
  • 5+ years of total industry experience
  • Surety or insurance industry experience
  • Experience with agency management systems, including AMS Sagitta
  • Experience with surety management platforms, including Erlon
  • Strong technical knowledge of surety products and coverage
  • College degree

Compensation: Hourly $36-47
