At Braintrust, we’re a smart, passionate, and collaborative team of marketers, strategists, and creatives who help brands grow through insight-driven strategy and fearless creativity. We transform businesses through bold ideas fueled by data, instinct, and street smarts.

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic Account Director to lead our Account Services team and oversee some of the agency’s most important client relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and client partnership, someone who can guide big-picture thinking while ensuring exceptional execution.

As Account Director, you’ll lead account strategy, guide an experienced team, foster cross-department collaboration, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future of the agency.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the senior strategic lead for a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a key advisor to their marketing and business teams.
  • Lead account planning, campaign strategy, and annual marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing programs across creative, digital, media, PR, and social teams.
  • Manage account health, budgets, scopes, timelines, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and expanded agency partnerships.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Mentor and develop Account Service team members.
  • Collaborate closely with agency leadership to improve processes, workflows, and client service operations.
  • Ensure work produced across all departments aligns with client objectives and Braintrust quality standards.
  • Contribute to new business efforts, proposals, and agency growth initiatives.
  • Help foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of marketing, advertising, or agency experience.
  • Proven success managing multiple client accounts and complex marketing initiatives.
  • Experience leading client relationships at a strategic level.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing, branding, digital marketing, and campaign measurement.
  • Experience managing budgets, scopes, timelines, and account profitability.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with project management, reporting, and presentation tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related experience.
What Will Make You Successful
  • You think strategically but aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • You build trust quickly and communicate with confidence.
  • You listen first, seeking to understand clients, teammates, and challenges before jumping to solutions.
  • You anticipate challenges before they become problems.
  • You bring solutions, not excuses.
  • You can motivate teams and keep projects moving forward.
  • You understand both client needs and agency realities.
  • You care deeply about doing great work and helping others succeed.
What It’s Like Here

We value inclusion, smarts, passion, accountability, respect, and knowledge. We work hard, think big, and care deeply about what we do. We believe in flexibility, collaboration, and ideas that challenge the status quo.
