Clerical Assistant / Unit Secretary

Location: Concord Medical Center – Concord, CA
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour (W2)
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 3 days per week
 


Position Overview

We are seeking a Clerical Assistant (Unit Secretary) to join the team at John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the department. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient unit operations.

  • Maintain accurate patient and departmental records.

  • Facilitate communication among healthcare team members, patients, and families.

  • Manage phone calls, correspondence, and data entry tasks.

  • Support the coordination of patient care activities and documentation.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, confidentiality requirements, and compliance standards.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a healthcare environment (required).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with computer systems and office software.
