Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Department: Clerical
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Status: Full Time
Reports To: Office Manager
Position Summary
Our busy warehousing company Customer Service Representative (CSR) must be energetic and reliable. This role works directly with the warehouse clerical staff and corporate team to help process and collect client invoices. The (CSR) is responsible for reviewing each invoice for accuracy, maintaining active files for all clients that have outstanding invoices, creating aging receivable reports, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and supervise production scheduling activities in the following ways:
• Monitor product inventories
• Track progress of loads and review factors that affect schedules
• Daily entering of data and compiling/completing time-sensitive reports
• Check drivers in & out throughout day, print BOL’s and outbound details.
• Obtain shipper’s releases number, destination, and trailer number.
• Assign doors to drivers.
Provide customer service at all times to customers and visitors in the following ways:
• Manage customer order handling, inventory control, and material handling functions
• Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mails, letters, packages etc.).
• Assisting with inquiries and problem resolution
• Prepare customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and use information to proactively communicate with customers
Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 2 years of customer service experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
• Working knowledge of Office 365 and AS400 a plus.
