Job description

What company will I be working for? You will be working for a national security services firm, providing cutting-edge services across DoD and other agencies. Who will I be working with? In support of Inflowโ€™s contract with the Government, you will be working alongside Government civilians and other Government contractors. You will be supporting the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Defense (DOD). What will I be doing? You will be using Government provided tools for desktop publishing activities (Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft PowerPoint). You will be involved in the entire design process to conceptualize designs, development to production of web and communication products and develop visual materials under tight deadlines. In addition, you will: * Collaborate with leaders, technical subject matter experts, and government customers to gather data and create figures, charts and infographics for reports, social media and web * Produce original graphics to include logos, infographics, histograms, flyers, brochures, overlays and similar products that readily display and emphasize complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Please note: The application process requires providing sample graphics from a real report. * Advise customers on optimal graphic approaches to communicate abstract and complex concepts * Take direction and guidance from team lead to create graphics and visual media * Produce original, complex infographics, histograms, flyers per week that integrate visual media, templates, and non-technical writing to create an impactful, visual products that are also 508 compliant * Ensure quality products each time * Provide status on deliverables and timelines * Handle confidential and classified information ensuring information is not distributed or communicated outside of approved individuals/system * Conduct work in the Government provided tools * Other duties as assigned What experience, training, and education do I need? You must meet the minimum requirements: * 5+ years of related experience in visual graphics development * Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience * Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Active Secret clearance The following experience is preferred: * Experience providing photography support, including using Nikon cameras, taking photos for events, group shots, and portraits, and editing photos for printed and electronic communication materials Where is the client site that I would be working for? You will be working in Alexandria, VA.
