Location: Fairfax, VA (80%), floater in Manassas, Loudoun, Fredericksburg, Germantown, and Maryland (20%) with mileage reimbursement.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Salary Range: $20–$22 per hour (based on experience), with the potential to increase to $23 per hour after 3 months based on performance.

Position Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant / Front Desk Floater hybrid role will be approximately 80% clinical and 20% front desk, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing exceptional care to women. This role requires flexibility, a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to travel to multiple practice locations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical (Primary Duties - 80%):

  • Assist physicians with patient care and clinical procedures.
  • Record vital signs and obtain pertinent medical history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures.
  • Clean, stock, and sterilize exam rooms and instruments.
  • Prepare and process lab specimens; perform quality assessments.
  • Document accurately in the EMR (GE Centricity preferred).
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory.

Administrative (Floater Support - 20%):

  • Greet and check-in patients, verify information, and assist with front desk tasks.
  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
  • Handle phone inquiries and route calls appropriately.
  • Assist with billing, insurance verification, and patient coordination as needed.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or clinical office (OB/GYN experience preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant Required

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Calm and effective under pressure; strong problem-solving skills
