Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this full-time, contract position, you will:
Qualifications:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education endorsements applicable to Pre-K.
- Prior experience teaching or supporting children in special education, ideally in early childhood settings.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with limited verbal skills and those requiring behavioral support.
- Experience or willingness to assist with toileting/diapering and feeding.
- Strong collaborative and communication skills, working closely with support staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet the individualized goals of each student.
- Support the needs of non-verbal or low-verbal students, implementing augmentative communication strategies as appropriate.
- Assist students with feeding, toilet training, and diapering as part of the classroom routine.
- Address and redirect behavioral challenges in a nurturing and empathetic manner.
- Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students.
