Job Summary:
Clarus is seeking an experienced, hands-on Sales Data Analyst to join the Analytics team. This individual will serve as a strategic analytical partner to Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and teams across the organization to deliver analytical solutions.
The Sales Data Analyst will bring together sales, CRM, customer, campaign, product usage, and engagement data to create reliable forecasts, dashboards, recurring reports, and actionable insights. The role will help Clarus improve pipeline visibility, commercial performance, customer retention, product adoption, and partner outcomes.
This is an individual-contributor role with defined ownership and visibility. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed data analysis and high-level business recommendations. They will bring structure to ambiguous questions, identify opportunities without waiting to be asked, and communicate insights in a way that drives action.
Job Location: Remote - USA. Candidates in EST/CST time zones are strongly preferred. US travel required.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Gather reporting requirements and translate business questions into dashboards, reports, datasets, queries, metrics, and analytical models.
  • Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and recurring reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Zoho Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Create reusable datasets, SQL queries, and data models that improve consistency and reduce manual reporting.
  • Establish and document KPI definitions, calculation logic, reporting assumptions, and data sources.
  • Design reporting assets that are accurate, intuitive, scalable, and appropriate for both operational and executive audiences.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Finance, and leadership to define analytical needs and improve decision-making.
  • Balance recurring reporting responsibilities with ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate lead management performance, including lead sources, routing, follow-up activity, aging, conversion, and pipeline leakage.
  • Monitor sales activity, account performance, customer engagement, revenue trends, renewals, expansion, and churn.
  • Analyze Sales performance drivers, growth trends, and areas of underperformance across accounts, customer segments, cohorts, channels, and external partners.
  • Build and maintain customer health scoring methodologies, including risk signals, adoption indicators, monitoring engagement behavior, and recommended calls to action.
  • Analyze the customer lifecycle across acquisition, activation, engagement, adoption, retention, renewal, expansion, and churn.
  • Analyze user activity and product engagement to support Product decisions, Customer Success planning, and customer or partner reporting.
  • Develop customer performance scorecards for account reviews, renewal planning, and internal and external QBRs.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance, including reach, engagement, lead quality, conversion, cohort performance, attribution, and downstream pipeline impact.
  • Prepare executive-ready summaries, presentations, scorecards, and reporting packages for leadership meetings, QBRs, partner reviews, and planning sessions.
  • Proactively identify gaps in data quality, reporting visibility, customer segmentation, and metric definitions.
  • Drive adoption of dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting processes through documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in analytics, business, economics, statistics, finance, information systems, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A strong record of success in sales analytics, revenue analytics, business intelligence, customer analytics, marketing analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred; with demonstrated industry knowledge, analytical ability, initiative, and business impact.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience building business dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with Zoho Analytics or another CRM-connected analytics platform.
  • Experience analyzing CRM data, sales pipelines, funnels, customer activity, and commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, segmentation, conversion, retention, renewal, churn, and customer lifecycle metrics.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into clear analytical deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting findings to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, consistency, documentation, and reporting quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in animal health, veterinary services, pet insurance, insurance, SaaS, fintech, health technology, or similar environment highly desired.
  • Intellectually curious, resourceful, and motivated to understand how the business works.
  • Takes initiative, identify needs early, and move work forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Comfortable operating in an evolving, high-growth environment.
  • Can move easily between hands-on analysis, stakeholder conversations, and executive-level communication.
  • Able to manage deliverables while continuing to improve the underlying processes.
  • Able to build trust by producing accurate work, communicating clearly, and following through on commitments.
