Join the 4 Clarkson Team - Opening December 2026!
4 Clarkson is a newly remodeled, 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including sepsis, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, and cardiac diseases. Our diverse patient population provides opportunities to build strong clinical judgment, time management, and critical thinking skills while gaining experience across multiple specialties.
Designed with innovation in mind, 4 Clarkson features digital door signs, digital whiteboards, virtual nursing support, and virtual patient monitoring for high-risk patients to enhance communication, improve patient safety, and support bedside nurses.
Nurses on 4 Clarkson will gain valuable experience managing titratable drips, chest tubes, high-flow oxygen therapy, and end-of-life care, making it an ideal environment for professional growth and skill development.
While 4 Clarkson prepares to reopen in December 2026, unit leadership will work with successful candidates to secure placement on an alternate Medical Surgical unit. This allows nurses to begin building valuable experience, relationships, and organizational knowledge prior to joining 4 Clarkson. Leadership support and development check-ins will continue throughout this transition to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and continued professional growth.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 18 months current clinical experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills required.
• Ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Magnet approved certification in related area preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within approved department timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading/supervising a health care team, or in a related area preferred.
• Prior experience in a management/leadership position preferred.
• Based on position, prior experience in one or more of the following areas including cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical-surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance related to health care, perioperative and special procedures in applicable nursing specialty area preferred.
• Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work-through competing priorities preferred.
• Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach preferred.
• Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish and English in some clinic settings preferred.
