Clarkson College is currently seeking an Enrollment and Academic Advisor-Enrollment Focused. The Enrollment and Academic Advisor performs professional student support services in one of the following focus areas: (1) Enrollment and Recruitment or (2) Academic Advising. While individual assignments may emphasize a specific focus area, all positions share common competencies in student guidance, customer service, records management, technology utilization, and student success support. Cross training and collaboration between focus areas are expected to provide operational flexibility and continuity of service. Specific student populations, program assignments, and stages of responsibility are determined by the Director of Enrollment and Advising and may be modified based on institutional need.

Enrollment and Recruitment Focus Responsibilities:

  • Grow a body of qualified students at Clarkson College through recruitment and enrollment based on the goals of the College, Enrollment and Advising Department and the College's recruitment strategies.
  • Represent Clarkson College at recruitment, partnership, community, and professional events.
  • Provides information regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid resources, and registration processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in student services, advising, admissions, or recruitment required.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or relationship management preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills needed with strong organizational and time management skills, a high sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in administrative systems such as employee information systems, assessment outcomes, budget tracking, excel, word, PowerPoint, video conferencing, and employee intranet systems.
